What is this thing?

A tiny film club, max 4 people. You watch a movie every so often, on your own schedule, then talk about it. No group scheduling headaches, no huge time commitment. Just a good excuse to watch stuff you wouldn't normally pick, and actually talk about it after.

How does a round work?

1. Someone picks. It rotates. Sometimes there's a twist - a genre, a decade, "nobody's seen this one," whatever the club feels like doing.
2. Everyone watches on their own time. No need to sync up for the actual viewing.
3. You log your reaction. Takes a minute, just a few taps.
4. You guess how your clubmates felt about it. Locked in before you see their real answers.
5. Once everyone's submitted, it all unlocks at once. Ratings, reactions, and whether your guesses were right.
6. You talk about it. Call, in person, whatever works. This part's the actual point.

How do I join?

Someone sends you an invite link. You can look around before committing to anything - see who's in the club, what they're watching. If it looks good, join. Clubs are capped at 4 on purpose, small enough that everyone actually gets heard when you talk.

What if I hate the movie?

That's fine. Honestly it's good - divisive picks make for better conversations than everyone agreeing. Rate it honestly. Check the etiquette page for how we handle disagreeing here.

How do I make it more fun?

• Use the constraints. "Nobody's seen this" or "under 90 minutes" or "a director none of us know" turns picking into a mini adventure instead of a chore.
• Actually try to guess your clubmates. It's a small game inside the bigger one, and being wrong is funnier than being right.
• Be honest in your hot take. It's hidden until the reveal, so say the real thing before you've seen anyone else's opinion.
• Don't skip the actual discussion. The rating's just the appetizer.

I don't really "talk about movies" - is that a problem?
